The couple has been in marital bliss for twelve years. Mary’s son Jesus is also twelve years old; though records affirm Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit following her engagement to Joseph.
Joseph son of David, faithful to the law and a man not wanting to expose virgin Mary to public disgrace , went against social norms and kept Virgin Mary as his own. Today, not far from the town of Bethsaida in Israel, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, gathered together in a grassy area, the Nazarene Man filled the stomachs of 5,000 men (total does not reflect women and children in attendance). The wondrous deed was not done through the typical process of planning and preparation of food, but was accomplished on-the-spot by His looking into the heavens and giving thanks!

Peter, one of the original Twelve Disciples of Christ preached boldly after the resurrection. The book of Acts tells us he was the first to preach to the Gentiles. Among those Gentiles was a wealthy military man named Cornelius who was “righteous, God-fearing and respected by the Jewish people.” Cornelius “prayed to God regularly” and sought God in his life.
We know God knew Cornelius because God called him by name – “Cornelius!”. God told Cornelius to summons Peter and God told Peter to go to Cornelius’ house. Continue reading
