In the Old Testament, the job of prophets was to pass on God’s message to the people. The prophets did not speak their word; God’s word was spoken through them. They revealed who God was, and what He planned to do. Some did preform miracles.

Do you ever feel like you live in constant battle with temptation? Today’s post concludes the seventeen week report on the book of Luke. How appropriate to end this account on the day before Good Friday as Christians around the globe contemplate the love Jesus offers as He hangs on The Cross. His sacrificial ending on earth offers us life never ending in heaven.

Masses lined the road to the city as the King approached, riding a donkey which has previously been unridden. The crowd laid their cloaks on the road for the donkey to walkover as all cheered, praising God saying: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” and “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Continue reading

BREAKING — Today, Jesus the Son of God shared two notable instructions of wisdom exclusive only to the book of Luke, pertaining to the importance of constant communications (prayer) with the Father and regarding how this action should properly be carried out.
The former involves a persistent widow who incessantly came before an unjust judge, pleading with him to grant her justice before her adversary. Continue reading

BREAKING — The Teacher was recently spotted conversing with a man who requested help dividing a family inheritance. It is noted Jesus shows more concern towards the selfish desire of accumulating wealth than the division of it, as represented by His response: “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” Continue reading
BREAKING — It has been reported the seventy-two messengers sent out by the Lord to prepare The Way have returned! All confirm demons submit to them in the name of Jesus. Their victory includes the security of each messenger’s name is written in heaven.

BREAKING — Headlines abound as reports surge in regards to Jesus’ chosen Twelve. It seems Jesus gave them power and authority to drive out demons, cure diseases, heal the sick, and proclaim the Good News on their own.
The sad news, however, is Herod the tetrarch ordered John the baptist beheaded. Then, upon hearing what the Son of God was accomplishing, Herod tried to see Jesus due to rumors that John had resurrected as The Christ. Continue reading
BREAKING — Amid the miracles preformed by the teacher Jesus, it has been confirmed John the baptist just sent two disciples to Jesus with this specific question: “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”
The Son of God’s quoted response is as follows: “…The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
In conjunction with experts agreeing Jesus’ actions speak for themselves, when the people hear Jesus’ words even tax collectors concur – God’s way is right! Continue reading
