Jesus, Women, & Drowning Pigs!

Jesus, women, and drowning pigs

Post #8 – As Reported From The Book Of Luke

BREAKING — Amid the miracles preformed by the teacher Jesus, it has been confirmed John the baptist just sent two disciples to Jesus with this specific question:  “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”

The Son of God’s quoted response is as follows: “…The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

In conjunction with experts agreeing Jesus’ actions speak for themselves, when the people hear Jesus’ words even tax collectors concur – God’s way is right!

Tears Of Faith Wash Jesus’ Feet.

Also reported – For reasons unknown to the public a Pharisee named Simon has invited Jesus to his home for dinner. Details emerged that at dinner, Simon witnessed a sinful woman crying, using her tears to wash the feet of Jesus.  She then wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

Knowing the Pharisee’s doubts, Jesus answered Simon’s questionable thought and explained the sinful uninvited woman showed more love and kindness for Jesus’ wellbeing than did Simon the host. Jesus then forgave her sins because of her great love towards Him. Other spectators to the unusual event also began wondering how Jesus could forgive sins. Jesus then replied it was her faith that saved the women.

Jesus, Women, Parables.

On the topic of women, Jesus has many known female followers who financially support His ministry. Witnesses report them traveling with Jesus and The Twelve disciples as The Teacher proclaims the good news of the kingdom of God.

A notable communication skill for Jesus is parables. Large crowds from many towns gather to hear His particular parable of planting seeds on: a path, rocky ground, thorns, and good soil. He likened it to how individuals apply God’s Word in their lives. More on this story may be found in the book written by Dr. Luke 8:4-18.

How Others View Jesus.

Statisticians reveal Jesus to have a large family. On this matter Jesus was heard to say : “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”

Also, meteorologists concede data reflecting Jesus’ ability to subdue storms. While traveling on the Sea of Galilee (a lake confirmed to produce waves as high as 20 feet even today), Jesus rebuked the wind and raging waters then all was calm.

Demons Drown In Pigs.

Exclusive to the region of Gerasenes, Jesus and His disciple arrived by boat, met by a naked man possessed by many demons. The man was seen and heard crying out at Jesus’ feet “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!”

The many demons named “Legion”,  acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God and did not want to be thrown into the Abyss. Instead, they begged to be put into a nearby herd of pigs. Jesus gave the demons permission; the pigs then rushed into the Sea of Galilee and drown.

Critics in the Gerasenes region are now afraid. They do not want their own livestock harmed and have asked Jesus to leave the area. On a positive side note, the former naked and demon possessed man is now fully clothed. The unnamed man is telling people all over town what the Son of the Most High God did for him.

The True Healer Heals And Offers Life.

An expecting crowd welcomed Jesus back in Galilee. Jairus, a synagogue leader, came to Jesus and fell at His feet. It is written Jairus begged Jesus to come heal his only daughter, about 12.  Those in the large crowd report Jesus was almost crushed as He made His way to attend the girl.

However, the mass movement did not deter Jesus from immediately noticing some of His power go out from Him. It seems a bleeding woman soon confessed she touched the edge of His cloak believing in a healing for herself – which did occur! Another healing conceived in faith!

Sadly, the synagogue leader received news his daughter died. But yet again, The True Healer offered His help. Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

Dr. Luke reports the girl is presently up and eating!
