Simple Touch Of Jesus Brings Life!

Simple touch of Jesus brings life

Post #7 – As Reported From The Book Of Luke

BREAKING — Large crowds (a mixture of Judeans and costal residents from Tyre and Sidon) gather today on a hillside near Capernaum. Polls indicate the people come not only to hear Jesus the Christ speak, but also to be healed of disease and cured of impure spirits. Sources indicate simply touching the Holy One brings instant healing!

Jesus Began To Teach.

At an unidentifiable time, the Healer took a break from healing and instead began to teach. He was overheard blessing the poor, the hungry,  and those who weep; also people who are hated and rejected as evil because they believe in the Son of Man

His blessing: “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. , is just the intro to what can only be described as a sermon on the mount. The Teacher’s lengthy address describes to mankind earthly life vs. Godly life.

The Teacher also points out implications of choosing the wrong life as He proceeds to share an additional reference to the prophets of the Old Testament. Basing His delivery on the specific word woe, the Teacher focuses on greedy unbelievers who are:

  1. Rich
  2. Well Fed
  3. Laugh Now
  4. Well Spoken Of

Jesus the Teacher, proclaims people who believe that these four traits are crucial in life, will be treated like the false prophets of Old. Their “riches” will not last.

Love Is All We Need.

post-7-4

The national conversation is abuzz on the Teacher’s comments about love: “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”  Jesus then states victory is won when we do not judge or condemn but forgive.

How A Good Teacher Teaches.

Continuing as the good Teacher, Jesus uses a metaphor of tree fruit and things of the heart. Just as good trees bear good fruit, a good man’s heart bears good things.

Before entering Capernaum, Teacher finished His teaching with a simile: “But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

Will Jesus’ Students Ever Learn?

It remains to be seen if all who hear Jesus’ words of love will follow Him. However, on a side note it has been reported a faithful centurion’s servant became ill. The centurion is so believing in the power of Jesus, he simply asked Jesus to “say the word” and he knew his servant would be healed.

In His own words Jesus replied, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Thus the servant was well again.

Jesus Lives His Teaching.

On the authority of the Word, details reveal Jesus was spotted in Nain, along with His disciples and a large crowd. The only son of a widow was being carried out. He lay dead. Seeing the woman cry, Jesus’ heart went out to her.

Jesus simply touched the bier the boy was being carried on, and said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk!

It cannot be denied, Jesus lives His teaching as He continues to be God!
