Holy Spirit

One of the many tasks the Holy Spirit carries out is the bestowing of special spiritual gifts to all believers. Spiritual gifts are to lift up and glorify God through the body of the church, the church being Christ’s followers. Spiritual gifts are not meant to glorify oneself, rather, they are used to point to God for all the goodness He bestows upon us.
Though gifts may overlap, your unique gift should be used to share the gospel of Christ. You many ask: “How do I accomplish that task? Perhaps your gift goes in a different direction than communication skills. Perhaps yours is in teaching, crafting, mechanics, sports, or business? Depending on what you gift is, do you know how you would share it all to God’s glory? The answer really is quite simple.

Three Equal One
Discussions about God, sometimes evolve from random conversations with friends. This happened to me just the other day. Many times these discussions include questions about important biblical truths that I believe. I always try to communicate to others what I know about these truths, but on this occasion I realized my lack of knowledge on the subject.
Throughout my life I have recited the Apostles’ Creed. I believe in all it says, including the text about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In biblical study these three grouped together are referred to as the Trinity. But we have to turn to the Bible to understand how three equal one. In Matthew 28:19, Continue reading
