Let Us Praise Him! – 4 PRAISE GOD Bible Verses

Some times it’s hard to praise God during difficult times. But as Christians, when those difficult times arise, we should not be muttering, “Poor me.” Rather, these are the times we should be wondering, “God, how am I to react and learn from this?”

Truth is the devil tries to block our path 24/7. He wants us to blame God for every hang nail, empty bank account, every spouse fight and every sick child.

The devil’s not happy unless we are unhappy.

Thankfully, Jesus told us exactly what to do when confronted by satan.

5 Selected Bible Verses – How To Follow Jesus

The life of Jesus, in His three years of ministry on earth, was absolutely pure. He actions and reactions, to those blessed to be in His presence, were the perfect example of how one leads a God centered life.

Thankfully, for those of us not of that time in Israel, Jesus’ words for salvation and life were transferred onto parchment.

In the book of Matthew a young man asked Jesus how to get to heaven. Jesus responded with Moses’ Ten Commandments, which the man accepted, but then Jesus’ final portion of His answer made this young man sad.

Pray Over Your Bad Day – 5 Bible Verses

Bad days happen to all of us. They are unavoidable. They quite often contain situations beyond our control. It’s what believers do on bad days (actually we are to do it everyday), that sets us apart from the world. We acknowledge our smallness.

We proclaim God is in control and we live on earth, not in heaven.

To think one has a choice in all of life’s situations is false. Heartache, disease, and unemployment can appear out of nowhere. One may leave home with their head high and a smile on their face, but return feeling the world is against them.

The good news: believers have power over unexpected and unwanted days.

Are You Struggling? Remember–Christ Jesus Lives In You!

When Paul spoke to the church in Corinth he asked them a direct question. A question all believers should refer back to when facing struggles.

2 Corinthians 13:5-6 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

When Paul stated, “Christ Jesus is in you,” he wasn’t simply saying when one thinks of Jesus He is with you. Paul was stating biblical fact: Christ Jesus, who believers know as the savior of the world, God made flesh, the Word, the Lamb of God who literally dwells within us, within our hearts–at all times!

Don’t delay.

The Story Of Christmas

The prophet Isaiah foretold of the birth of a child; a child like none ever to be born. Isaiah was speaking of the birth of our Savior, our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace – baby Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

His prophesy came true as told in Luke 2:1-20, where we find the true story of Christ’s birth, the reason we celebrate Christmas:

Give Thanks This Thanksgiving

In the story of Jesus feeding 5,000 men (plus uncounted women and children), Jesus, savior of the world, was thankful to God before the distribution and eating of the five small barley loaves and two small fish. Scripture says He simply “gave thanks.”

This Feeding of the 5,000, is the only miracle recorded in all four of the gospels (Matthew 14-Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6-Mark 6:31-44; Luke 9-Luke 9:12-17; John 6-John 6:1-14).

This story offers six interesting points:

AMERICA – God Gives Blessings In Disguise

Christians–we believe in God’s blessings. Early Christians believed, Christians in this age believe, and true future Christians will believe. Unbelievers have their doubts about blessings. They may even ask, “Why believe in blessings?”

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Christians believe in God’s blessings because we believe in God’s word. His word is divine, supreme; it reigns above all, is vast and true. The Bible gives knowledge of God. His word changes lives from ordinary to blessed.

Sometimes, I go to the Bible for specific answers to questions I have right now. I usually find my blessing when God shows me insight. Then there are times I stumble upon a particular verse. A verse I wasn’t searching for, but happened to read and find understanding to separate situation I may be confused about. Biblical insight is a blessing.
