Let Us Praise Him! – 4 PRAISE GOD Bible Verses

Some times it’s hard to praise God during difficult times. But as Christians, when those difficult times arise, we should not be muttering, “Poor me.” Rather, these are the times we should be wondering, “God, how am I to react and learn from this?”

Truth is the devil tries to block our path 24/7. He wants us to blame God for every hang nail, empty bank account, every spouse fight and every sick child.

The devil’s not happy unless we are unhappy.

Thankfully, Jesus told us exactly what to do when confronted by satan.

1.At the start of Jesus’ ministry, just after He was baptized in the Jordan river by John the Baptist, scripture tells us Jesus, “was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” But Jesus knows satan deserves no worship. Jesus knows Satan lives to kill, steal, and destroy us.

So, when Jesus ordered satan away, He also referenced Deuteronomy 6:13, telling satan who all should worship.

Matthew 4:8-10 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’

2. We are to worship God because He alone forgives sin. It is through Jesus we are saved from the everlasting depth of hell. Life may be tough now, but Christians must remember to look past this short span of time on earth. Earth is not heaven. We must look forward to an eternity of love and youthfulness, promised to us through the Word, our lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 103:1-5 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

3. When we do arrive in heaven, like the Mercy Me song says, “I can only imagine”:

Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

4. Praise God, for without Him there is no life. No you or me, no animals to pet, no flowers to smell. Earth would be void and without form. Through Him all things are made and for all these things and more, God is worthy of our praise!

Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
