When Paul spoke to the church in Corinth he asked them a direct question. A question all believers should refer back to when facing struggles.
2 Corinthians 13:5-6 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.
When Paul stated, “Christ Jesus is in you,” he wasn’t simply saying when one thinks of Jesus He is with you. Paul was stating biblical fact: Christ Jesus, who believers know as the savior of the world, God made flesh, the Word, the Lamb of God who literally dwells within us, within our hearts–at all times!
Don’t delay.
So Christians, don’t delay another moment in turning your struggles, your anxieties, faults, health worries, money headaches, sexual issues, personal or family problems, don’t delay in giving them all to Christ Jesus who lives in us.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Rejoice in the fact that the Bible tells us, “but Christ lives in me.” We are fully endowed with His strength to endure any hardship because we know we are not alone. We draw strength from Christ’s strength which He freely gives to all who love Him.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Before Christ Jesus came, things were different. In ancient Israel the priests, ordained by God, offered sacrifices on behalf of Israel for sin. Their anointed job was holy, but, priests died. When those priests died new priests were chosen, but then they died. They all died.
Then came Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus is the final sacrifice. He died, then resurrected and now lives forever. No need for any of His believers to ever worry about being alone, to fear struggles, to feel unforgiven, because Christ Jesus is alive, our permanent priest.
Hebrews 7:23-25 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Be blessed, Brothers and Sisters, Christ Jesus lives in you!
Colossians 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
