Christian Screenwriter Seeks God’s Plan

We Lift Him Up when we follow His plan.

Whenever we strive to understand and carryout God’s plan for us, we glorify His name. Why? Because God designed each of us for a purpose. When we seek, then carry out that purpose, it shows we acknowledge Him. And by acknowledging Him we Lift Him Up, thus demonstrating desire to carry out His plan.

As I seek God’s plan for me, I’ve prayed that I am teachable and willing. Now, it’s time to walk on water! I’m putting my faith in five of God’s truths that have helped me to understand His plan for me:

On April 1, 2017, I expanded my writing as a Christian blogger and re-embraced my love of screenwriting. During that time while completing my manuscript, I completely trusted God in Five Truths.

God called me, created a plan for me, made promises to me, and I believe His truths through mercy and grace afford me blessings.

Believers

Please know these truths are not purely for myself. God offers them to everyone. He has no favorites. God’s love is equal whether you are a new Christian wondering how God will forgive your lifelong sin, or, you are a lifelong believer who communes with God on a daily basis.

John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Unbelievers

To the unbeliever, God patiently waits as His mercy and love abounds, yearning for the lost to call out and receive Jesus Christ as their savior. God wants no one to parish.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

As a believer, I claim God’s word to help me through the day, overcome hardship, and – inspire me to dream big! I’m walking on water right now!

Holy Spirit you are welcome here!

So. . .with the help of Holy Spirit, everyday for the past ten months, for each of God’s Five Truths I have claimed seven specific Bible verses which point to Him on each topic. Holy Spirit helped me choose the verses and I believe them all to be flawless. Many times, those verses showed up unexpectedly in my day, giving me heartfelt confirmation.

I also believe and claim all the promises of God are answered yes by the blood of Jesus Christ. Each day as I voice my selected verses, they give me peace. They answer prayer, show me the way, and validate my writing direction.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Holy Spirit inspired me to write a Christian manuscript that glorifies God’s name. Although that’s good for starters, I know we are called to do more. We are called to go.

My go is to now step out in faith. As my church Pastor Randy said: “Step outside and be very uncomfortable.” So now, I really am outside my box, exposing my big dream, trusting God for all He will do for this project.

I need to now create the film God placed on my heart, so that viewers are inspired to also seek God’s plan for them. The film, you see, is appropriately titled, The Plan. The Plan was written to inspire viewers to seek and fulfill their perfect plan from God, which will make a difference in the lives of others, causing them to seek and fulfill their perfect plan from God, which will make a difference in the lives of others. . .

It’s amazing how God intermingles lives for His goodness.

I encourage you to seek God’s plan for you.

You too, can read His word and claim it, like I am doing. We are walking on water here, not holding each others’ hand but the outstretched hand of Christ, just as Peter did. Claim His word for its truth and faithfulness and only He will keep you dry.

Maybe God is calling you to start a Bible study, or finish your degree, or babysit for the single mom on your street. Maybe He is calling you to run for office. Your plan was created before you were born, and you were chosen by God to fulfill it as only you can. Only you have that certain spark to start a neighborhood garden, or drive the elderly to doctor visits, or write a cookbook!

It’s your talent, only you can do it your way because that is how you were perfectly made and told to go.

1 Corinthians 10:31 . . .whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Use the next 5 weeks to step out in faith and seek God’s plan.

Confirm God called you, created a plan for you, made promises to you, and you believe His truths through mercy and grace afford you blessings.

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
