JESUS – Our Intercessor to God!

When we believe, Jesus knows us and intercedes to God for our sin.

Jesus descended from heaven with a plan. He came to share God’s love, die on the cross, resurrect, then return to heaven. But that plan is not completed.  His merciful work is not over as He continues to shower us with love as our intercessor.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Yes! After Jesus’ resurrection Jesus did return to God, His father, to sit at God’s right hand. So now that Jesus personally made Himself know to us, when we believe in Him, our relationship with Him expands. Our believing that Jesus died as the sacrifice for our sin, now means that at judgement Jesus stands before God, interceding for us.    Continue reading

Miracles Of Jesus – BELIEVE!

Believe in the miracles of Jesus.

In the Old Testament, the job of prophets was to pass on God’s message to the people. The prophets did not speak their word; God’s word was spoken through them.  They revealed who God was, and what He planned to do. Some did preform miracles.

Then things changed in the New Testament, as described to us through the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It’s from the gospel of John that we learn when Jesus arrived, He was the Word: Continue reading

Does God Care If You Believe Him?

God loves you!

Absolute biblical recordings reveal God punished those who did not believe or obey what He said. And He rewarded or blessed those who believed His word, following His commands.

The prophets did not use their own words,  only the words spoken to them from God. But that changed in the New Testament.  In the time of Jesus, a new covenant was made that was to be followed.  Continue reading

Jesus Sacrificed His Blood For You!

Jesus shed His holy blood seven different ways for us at the cross.

Jesus shed His holy blood seven different ways for us at the cross.

The significance of this sacrifice for mankind is in the meaning behind each blood shedding. It was through Jesus’ perfect blood that seven freedoms were returned to us, redeeming and setting us free from bondage.

Leviticus 16:19 He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times to cleanse it and to consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites.

Believe In Christmas!

Believe in Christmas

What a blessing to be spending the holidays with my husband, mother, daughter and son-in-law!

Holiday’s past included a wider field of family, but over the years that has changed. Beloved members have passed, some moved out of state, and sadly, we have lost touch with others for various reasons.

However, though our party group has gotten smaller, I have found I have expanded my understanding of the meaning of Christmas. Continue reading

The Perfect Gift!

The perfect gift!

The Little Drummer Boy” (originally “Carol of the Drum“) is a beloved Christmas song, written in 1941 by American composer, Katherine Kennicott Davis.  It was first recorded in 1951 by the Trapp Family Singers.

The simple lyrics explain the situation of a boy invited to see the new born King.  His dilemma: What gift can I, a poor young boy, offer to a king?

Turns out that young boy offered the only thing he had, the perfect gift for all Christ followers to emulate – Himself.  Let us picture the scene as it unfolds before the Christ: Continue reading
