Please know I do not write this post to make light of the Bible. No, I write this post because I believe each of my nominees are true followers of our LORD, reveal their fortitude is received from God in times of trouble and should be recognized as such. For some of my nominees the Bible gives us their life story. But for others, the Bible gives us just enough information about them for us to understand why their place is important in history and why they are included in the pages of God’s holy Word.
——– I encourage you to leave a comment and vote for one of these candidates. One of them will be the selected topic for my August 3 blog post. This date marks the one year anniversary of the Lift Him Up blog site. This anniversary post will be used to thank one of God’s chosen people of the Bible, for lifting up His holy name – blessings!

I nominate Abraham. The amount of faith and courage he had to obey God deserves an award!
