In past posts I explain why using the phrases OMG and Oh my G**! directly break our Lord’s third commandment. In one quick grab with our voice, we try to pull Him down, ripping His name of all glory by using it as a trash word. We commonly defile His name by using it as a curse word in unwelcome or disagreeable situations. And, we wrongly toss His name into happy situations; fraudulently praising a delicious meal or loving on a new pair of shoes.

In this chaotic world, we so often follow the false gods of popularity and social acceptance. This pattern can make moral individual choices hard to reason out. This is why as you read and gain knowledge from each chapter of this book; you commit yourself to God. Ask Him to change your undesirable behavior of taking the Lord’s name in vain. He can and will work through you, to create a better you. One who accepts and follows His way. My Christian study group is currently studying the Bible’s book of Matthew. Matthew’s gospel includes many quotes from the Bible’s Old Testament, along with an abundant amount of references to the Messiah. Matthew’s writing purpose was to clearly state that Jesus is the Savior of the world.

My question to you is, “Is Jesus your Savior?”
