Pray For This Election

Pray for this election

Prayer Changes Things – So Pray Often And With Confidence.

God has a plan for our country. But He likes hearing our input! The Bible tells us we are to be in constant communication with God-

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Just like your best friend loves to hear how you are doing and what your needs are, God, though omniscient in His eternal loving manner, still desires us to tell Him about our lives. This includes being thankful in all things while presenting our wants and concerns.

During this election season the need for Christians to follow God’s will of prayer is crucial. Continue reading

6 Hate Seeds Christians Need To Avoid?

6 hate seeds Christians need to avoid

If you are a Christian you need to nip these hate seeds in the bud.

hate – noun intense or passionate dislike

True hate is a dark emotion. To hate is to abhor, detest or loath. The heart of a hate filled person has usually been cultivated by some form of hate to themselves, which is what enriches the hate seed to grow. Students can learn to hate school at an early age because their elementary teachers are condescending instead of encouraging towards their work.

Families learn to hate others who look different, because elder members display contempt and distain for “those people.” Religious members may feel threatened, thus propagate hate, when they do not understand another’s beliefs. The word hate is increasingly scattered, fertilized, and grows uncontrolled in our day-to-day communication expressions.  Continue reading

5 Steps To Live God-Centered

5 steps to live God-centered

Accounts in the New Testament reveal the Good News being shared with mankind. And because Jesus conquered death through His resurrection, the Apostles now explained there is a new way to lead a God-Centered life. But the question at hand was: Why should the Jews and Gentiles desire to experience this new God-Centered life over their old established God-Centered life?

They must of had many questions about this new religious way of life.

  • Would it help them understand who God is?
  • Would it offer them forgiveness?
  • Would it bring them more joy?
  • Will they receive a more personal relationship with God?
  • Or for that matter, would God even care who is the center of their lives?

Let’s see how the Bible answers these questions.

Happy Father’s Day, God.

3 Things to give God the father

What do we give to the Father who has everything?

Big sales are happening this week-end encouraging customers to purchase gifts for Father’s Day. While my earthly father lived, I bought him items he wanted that matched his hobbies. But as I think about my heavenly Father, what can I give Him that He truly wants? Continue reading

Jesus – Lunatic, Liar, or Truthful?

Jesus, lunatic, liar or Truthful?

Jesus was looked upon as a “Teacher” (John 13:13) during the last three years of His life on earth as He purposefully taught the Word of God to many peoples. But it is the  fact that His teachings were extremely bold that should inspire us to make a clear decision about who The Man really is.  Referencing Him as one who teaches does not measure up to the Truth of His being; and this simple acknowledgment  will not secure for us our inheritable heavenly eternity.  Continue reading

7 Doubters In The Bible

7 Doubters in the Bible

The Right People For The Job.

God chose many people that were not always enthusiastic to carry out His plans. Often these doubters failed to see His design for them because they believed more in their own shortcomings or decisions than in His great power. But God, in His time, showed all of them His way. That lead to their eventual willingness to place all trust in God, birthing their significant roles in the history of Christ. Continue reading

“Come, follow me.” Jesus said.

3 failures Peter had towards Jesus

Simon, also known as Peter, is noted in the Bible as the first disciple Jesus called to follow Him.

Mark 1:16-17 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Continue reading

Book of James

Read the Book of James

A Quick Read Full Of Christian Truths

James, the author of the Book of James, is the half brother of Jesus Christ. Although the Bible does not give us much information about James being intricately involved with Jesus before the crucifixion, we easily find that after the resurrection James clearly becomes a leading figure in the early church.

James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. Galatians 2:9 (emphasis added) Continue reading
