America, Bring The Bible Back Into Schools

“When Baal (false god, demon) was unable to possess one generation of Israelites, he would focus on the next–the nation’s children. Since children represent the future, if he could take hold of America’s children, he could take hold of America. So by removing prayer and the Word from the education of America’s children, he was wakening the transmission of faith to the next generation. He could then separate the entire nation from prayer, from the Word, and from faith. By causing God’s ways to become alien to the nation’s children, he could cause the alienation of America from God.”

Jonathan Cahn, The Return Of The Gods (2022)

The banning of prayer in schools in 1962 by the Supreme Court, and the removal of the Bible leads America’s children to believe the lie that God is not essential.

Our children are taught reading, writing, and arithmetic, but instilling basic morals to produce good character–the difference between right and wrong–was tossed out when they tossed out Bible reading.

Nothing is more righteous or moral than God’s Word.

Judging by heinous actions taking place across the country–children killing children and their teachers–this action of removing Bible reading has caused considerable tragedy through the years.

Has America’s government forgotten we are a nation founded on God’s principles?

Has congress forgotten they recommended Bibles in all classrooms in 1782?

“The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.” United States Congress

Have today’s presidents forgotten the words of President Calvin Coolidge?

“The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.”

The Bible teaches the Ten Commandments: do not murder, commit adultery, steal, lie, or covet another’s property. It’s all good stuff. These instructions are building blocks for good character in our children. These are commandments that are definitely good for all children to learn and remember.

Ironically, tablets of The Ten Commandments are found on the doors leading into the Supreme Court Chambers, and, Moses holds the two tablets on the eastern wall inside the Supreme court.

Our adult Supreme Court Justices are privileged with these reminders about life, but not America’s children?

For children to learn respect of Authority, God (the One who gives these instructions to show love to one another) . . . it only makes sense.

America, stop alienating children from God. Bring the Bible back into schools.

Have you invited Jesus into your heart? Now is the perfect time. Pray this sinner’s prayer found at Gotquestions.com

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”

Blessings to you as you receive redemption through Jesus.

  1. Sadly it’s much the same here in the UK. All we can do as Christian parents is to teach our children the word of God, and live it out as an example for them to follow. Oh yes, and PRAY! That they will be the leaders and influencers of tomorrow and God’s favour will be on them as they go out into the world taking his light into the darkness.

    Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

    • Let’s keep praying for that change to happen. Wonderful that parents continue teaching and living the Word at home, But our children are suffering tremendously in schools by receiving no Godly instructions for life.

  2. Yes, I do agree when it comes to curriculum, we need the Bible back or at least included. Us Christians have never been banned(in the USA)from taking or carrying a Bible in or at school. As much as the fight is right now, we can still wear clothing, have a lunch box or a whole host of others things with scriptures on them. Do it while we can.

    • Do you remember high school football coach Joe Kennedy? He lives in the state of Washington. He was fired in 2015 for praying on the football field. Read my post, You Can Get Fired For Praying. https://debrapedrow.com/2019/09/12/you-can-get-fired-for-praying-christians-we-must-stop-the-injustice/ The Godly man that he is, he took the case to the Supreme Court and won that right back in 2022. He was also rehired. A win for Christians who battle against those trying to suppress religious freedom.

      • I’m not saying there is no persecution going on in schools. A California gym teacher just got fired recently for having a facebook post showing her saying how bad it is that there are infant clothing with the homosexual agenda on them. And then she was confronted on whether she would comply on the issue of letting transgender males to female students in the girls’ locker room. Your post was titled about the Bible. I addressed that. I’m not trying to be combative, just wanting complete truth talked about. Truth – open prayer might be banned sometimes, but prayer itself isn’t. And I think we Christians should also be talking about what we can do when these topics come up.

        • California legislature is far, far from my values. I’m thankful for my governor, Ron DeSantis. And I don’t find you combative at all. We all have opinions that should be shared. That’s what we are doing. Thumbs up!

            • Thank you for your question.
If you are referring to the governors’ Stop Woke Act signed into law, I’ve read many folks are climbing on an opposition bandwagon without delving into facts. Florida indeed does still require courses in high school on African American studies.
              Newsweek explains:
“Most of the people lambasting the governor and Florida Republicans over the Stop WOKE Act fall into two categories: Those who haven’t read the law, and those who have read it, but are lying about it. The text of the legislation actually mandates the teaching of “[t]he history of African Americans,” which includes the “development of slavery, the passage to America, the enslavement experience, abolition, and the history and contributions of African Americans of the African diaspora.”
What DeSantis opposes being taught to our children is a one-sided approach, comparable to a political indoctrination, that schools were teaching or considering teaching, which he believed included teaching socialist reform.
My thoughts…Children should be taught correct, factual, history, and as they mature they can use that information to make informed decisions about America. Not be taught anothother’s opinion.
