God is good. Though we may not feel His presence at all times, at all times – His presence is with us.
Feeling His presence is often relative to the location of your walk with God. Do you believe you are close to Him, strolling side by side? Or are you watching from a distance, not understanding His magnificence as He interacts with others?
I encourage you not to remain afar from our LORD but instead boldly approach Him, as others have done, by increasing your faith in who He is. God is patient as He awaits you to grow your faith. As you do this He will warmly welcome you into His presence.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
It is not up to us to understand God. He is God – we are not. Faith asks that we believe we are created to serve Him and in return, to be blessed.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
As soon as faith brings us to God, the Holy Spirit comes upon us. He is our encourager. Holy Spirit is the one who encourages faith, draws us to God, leads us to the purpose for which we are created.
Isaiah 61:1-2 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
God does not promise faith will prohibit hardship in life. What He does promise is through faith, things in life, even hardships, have purpose. It is faith, believing in purpose, that gets us through these hardships.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Faith knows and acknowledges where our strength comes from.
2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ [fn] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Faith also provides assurance of eternal life, a future life void of any hardship you may be going through right now. God knew there would be times of trouble. That is why He sent His son, Jesus, so that through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection we may be saved.
