AMERICA – God Is Loves! (Yes, His Love Is Plural)

In America we use the word love in a wide array of situations. Love. Love is used to describe feelings for people, places, and things. After all, America, don’t we love baseball, country, and apple pie?

However in the Bible, love is usually an action as found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, where “Love is patient, love is kind.” But sadly, love is used so overwhelmingly for feelings on random matters in society, most have come to deprive themselves of the true meaning of love. Love is a deep, endless, all intense commitment shown that does not require reciprocation from the receiver.

Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, knows the meaning of love, the truest, the deepest, the most holiest of love, because God is love – in fact God is loves!

God loves do not depend on reciprocation, His loves are all giving whether we return the love or not.

The Bible, when we delve deep into the word and discover all the loves God has, also states the timeline of God’s love for His children and for nations as well.

Psalm 103:15-18 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

In Psalms we find God’s loves are from “everlasting to everlasting”. This means before we were created, from the very beginning, from before existence (something we can not image), God loves us. It also means His loves never end and, His loves are for all nations who believe.

Isaiah 56:6-7 And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant—these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

The loves of God cover all nations, all whose people come to the LORD. God not only loves us before the beginning; His deep loves continue to be poured on us through the blood of Jesus on the cross. Though we did sin, presently sin, and continue to sin, God gave His son to redeem our sin. God did this despite there being nothing we can ever do to repay Him. God’s loves do not depend on reciprocations.

Romans 5:7-8 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God’s love is expansive, it covers all situations, both personally and for nations. God has love that comforts when we fear, love that strengthens when we are weak, love that gives hope when we are desperate. Each of God’s loves perfectly suit the time, the place, the individual, because at each moment in life you are the most important person on earth to God.

God is so big, His love so immeasurable and all encompassing, though He’s got the whole world in His hands His loves make you feel like He’s loving on you alone.

An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children.

He does not distribute Himself that each may have a part,

but to each one He gives all of Himself as full as if there were no others.

Psalm 40:5 Many, LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.

There is no sin we can commit individually or as a nation, that the loves of God cannot over come. What America needs to do, right now, is admit our prideful ways, ask God for forgiveness, and commit our government, businesses, families, and churches back into the hands of God. May we do this, and feel the power of all God’s loves upon us.

Take ONE MINUTE of your time to pray for our nation.

Each night at 9 PM Eastern, 8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, and 6 PM Pacific, stop whatever you are doing and spend 1 minute in prayer specifically for our nation.

Pray with confidence God will: redeem our government, protect our troops, engage our citizens in righteousness, bring peace, oversee elections, restore biblical principles back to Washington DC, retain biblical principles as the basis for laws in our land, and for revival for Christianity to flourish abundantly in the U.S.

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”
