Though at times we feel the government, doctors, family, and yes even the church makes life difficult, we must remember God is always here. He never forsakes us. God is bigger than all things combined; His plan is perfect.
Remember how God made a way for His beloved Jewish people again and again, despite their continual failing to trust? They grumbled while being lead from slavery, yet God made a way. They grumbled about overtaking the new land God already promised as theirs, yet He made a way.
Many times God’s people gave up hope because they could not see His holy plan, yet God continued His perfect plan, remaining beside them, bringing them through very hard times.
America, do you think we are following the grumbling footsteps of Israel?
I know I’m guilty of complaining about: Washington DC, America’s medical decisions, personal interactions, and religious policy.
Sadly, my grumbling on these matters, just like the grumblings of the Jews as God lead them to freedom, does not change circumstances. Only God changes circumstances.
If you’ve been complaining as I have, please know God is at work right now for us, just as He was at work for the Israelites. Like His beloved children Israel, America, we too are His beloved children, and God is here with us everyday making a way. That’s something to smile about!
Isaiah 41:8-10 “But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
God chooses us because He wants to–He loves us! It’s not because we deserve anything. God’s very words give assurance of who He is, His power, and hope for our future.
Isaiah 43:16-21 This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
As our “One nation under God”, our America, is lead by incomprehensible actions seen here at home and abroad, may American Christians remember–YES, God is in control. He has the perfect plan and is love is unconditionally.
2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Let us continue to ask for His strength as we place our faith in our Creator, maker of heaven and earth, during these troublesome times in our country and around the world.
James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
