God came in the flesh. BELIEVE!

God came in the flesh. Believe!

Faith That God Was Made Flesh

Do you have trouble believing God came to earth to dwell among us, dressed in the flesh of mankind? Some people may wish they have eternal life, hoping earth is not all there is for us. The apostle John states we can know we have it, based on God’s Word.

God himself tells us in the book of 1 John, that He came to us in the body of Jesus Christ. And His coming was a gift, so that whosoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life with Him in heaven. Read the Good News, shared by John:

1 John 5:1-2  Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his son as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

Christians become members of God’s family the nanosecond (one nanosecond is to one second as one second is to 31.71 years) we turn our hearts to God. We instantly unite and remain as family, wrapped in the arms of a loving Father who blesses us with Perfect laws to live by.

1 John 5:3-5 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

God’s commands were not created to burden us, but to free us from life in this world. And Christians overcome the death of this world by believing that Jesus is incarnate. A man fully God whose purpose of coming to earth was to save us from our sin.

1 John 5:6-9 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify:the Spirit, the water and the blood [Jesus]; and the three are in agreement. We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

And while He was here Jesus was baptized by water and then sacrificed by His blood. Christians understand this to be true as stated in the Bible, because the Father gave us the Spirit of truth who lives with us forever. The Spirit allows us to accept the testimony of God.

1 John 5:10-11 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Christians know and understand God’s Word as truth – Jesus is the Son of God. And the nanosecond we believe in Him, our eternity is sealed. We do not have to wait or work or worry any longer because God just changed our eternal destiny. He tells us clearly and concisely:

1 John 5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John was written by the apostle John probably between A.D. 85 and 90. Being an eyewitness to the life, death and resurrection of Christ, John wrote with authority. In the book he specifically assures us Jesus is the Son of God.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
