Christians – Always Moving Closer To God

Christians moving closer to God

Christians are on a constant journey. Not in the sense that we live out of a suitcase, traveling from hotel to hotel. No – it’s that we are always trying to move closer to God.

We move closer to God every time we:
Learn His Word.
Share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Allow the Holy Spirit to encourage good works.

Sometimes our journey is easy. Our direction is accurate because we understand and make right decisions based on God’s law. The situation may be utter chaos, but choosing to follow The Word over the world, by putting our trust in The Word, always leads us on the right path. And learning His Word pleases God.

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. Deuteronomy 7:12

Money is no object on our journey, because we know Jesus already paid the price for our life. We just have to accept and acknowledge Him as our Lord and Savior. And we share this wealth with others, each time we share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Our journey always produces delicious fruits, because we understand the work required: the purpose, the planning, the process and the patience. These traits are helpful for each of us to experience  the success of good works through the Holy Spirit.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

Christians, we Lift Him Up with each step we take as we:
overcome decisions of right verses wrong,
understand Jesus as Lord over death,
and prevail over unwillingness to help others.
