It’s not hard to imagine many are suffering through loneliness right now. Even if you live in a large family setting, loneliness may take hold of your emotions. You feel you just don’t connect with those around you.
Loneliness makes one believe they are empty and unwanted. Lonely people may also believe they are undesired and often, they build a barrier around themselves.
If this sounds like you, please know you don’t have to feel this way anymore.
God is faithful!
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
God has told us, through and through the Bible, that He loves us and is always with us. He will never abandon His children. God is a constant truth not a fleeting “feeling”; when you call to Him He answers you. God Is Always With You!
Give God a chance and trust in His voice.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
God does not forsake what He created. It is us who turn our backs to Him. We choose to believe the evil thoughts of loneliness, worthlessness, self-doubt. If you believe these words describe you, if you are permitting negative thoughts about yourself to overwhelm you–STOP!
Turn those garbage ideas over to God. He doesn’t want you to live life lonely, full of self deprecation. His desire is for you to remember you are His child, His creation. Fear not for you are made perfect in His image, to live the life He purposefully planned just for you–God loves you!
Here’s a wonderful verse to remember God planned and created your being:
Psalm 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Life can be hard, cruel, and almost unbearable at times. A perfect world is yet to come. Perfection does not happen until Christ returns. So as mankind awaits, God lavishly offers peace for the hard times. Anytime we place our faith in His eternal word His peace is offered. I encourage you to accept and receive that peace. You don’t have to suffer the pain of loneliness when God is one request away through the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
If you’re feeling lonely, not certain you’ve ever invited Jesus into your heart, now is the perfect time. Pray this sinner’s prayer found at Gotquestions.com. Through Jesus you will receive the strength and peace that He alone offers, to help you through these troubled times.
“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”
