God Has A Plan For You!

God has a plan for you

With a new year just taking off, I’m sure you will find countless posts trying to point you in a direction they feel is best for you. But don’t be fooled! Whatever it is you feel you need to start, change, or end, please remember – your life has been perfectly planned since the beginning!

God’s plan of offering us eternal life began at a time unfamiliar to the human mind. Our plan began at a time we are not able to comprehend:

Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

God’s plan, His promise to us, began before time began.

As believers it is important to remember exactly what He planned for mankind. Though current circumstances will never be perfect, we can stand firm on Jesus’ word about what our future holds for us:

John 14:2-3 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

This means Christians are assured of His plan for our eternal future. God has already prepared a place for us in heaven, so that we will rest in eternity with Him.  This assurance overrides any obstacles we face here on earth.

Hope in His eternal plan is what gives Christians strength on earth.  Because earth, as we know, is not the image we have of heaven. Earth bombards us with many struggles, with hardship, heartache, and pain.

But God’s dwelling place is void of all immorality:

Revelation 21:3-5 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

On the day Jesus Christ returns for us and we see Him face to face, that is when God’s plan on earth for us will be finished.

Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus

The moment you breath your last breath and Christ appears, that’s when God’s eternal plan engulfs you. Imperfection from things such as bad choices, pride,  and aging  will be no more. That is when we will be perfection; no more flaws, no more pain, no more unrighteousness.

1 John 3:2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

In the apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, his prayer is for the people to know God’s plan for them. As this new year begins, my prayer for you is the same. May Holy Spirt open your eyes and heart to the glory of God’s plan for you, and may you share that knowledge with others. Blessings.

Ephesians 1:17-18 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
