School is just around the corner. Perhaps you are already tackling that back-to-school shopping list containing clothes and supplies, doing you best to physically prepare your children for the coming school year.

But are you preparing them spiritually? Do they understand they remain in God’s care as they exit the front door? As they await that anxious first day of kindergarten or that exciting first day as a senior in high school, do they remember Jesus is always with them?

Though they don’t always admit it, it’s tough for children to leave the security of their home for a place that isn’t always welcoming, agreeable, or easy.

Children need to be reminded they are fully loved as a child of God!
