1 – 2 – 3 … Come To Jesus

“Either we fix our minds on that and determine to laugh again, or we wail and whine our way through life. We determine which way we will go.” – Chuck Swindoll, Laugh Again

“If Jesus loves me as He says, He has my best interests at heart. That means I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by committing myself to Him and His purposes.” – Lee Strobel, The Case For Christ

Jesus, our creator, desires an intimate relationship with everyone. He loves us. But, it is up to us to come to Him; Jesus does not force Himself on anyone.

There are three simple steps to come to Jesus: Believe He is your savior, Confess your sin to Him, Repent and say you are sorry.

He requires nothing more. No works, no hierarchy, and you can’t pay your way to heaven. A relationship with Jesus is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3.

  1. BELIEVE

Believe Jesus died as the final sacrifice for sin, then resurrected three days later. During the time of Jesus, His disciple Thomas would not believe in the resurrection unless he saw Jesus’ wounds from His crucifixion. Later, Thomas was blessed with physically seeing the risen Jesus, and His wounds in all His glory.  How blessed we are in today’s world to have the true gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John available to help us. We can read about the life of Jesus on earth, experience His presence, and believe for ourselves in the risen Lord.

2. CONFESS

Sin places us away from God. By confessing our sin to Him, God knows we recognize our mistakes. Acknowledging our sin shows we respect God’s law, admitting His way is best. We agree any choice we make that goes against His ways will never be better than His.

3.REPENT

Say you are sorry. Ask for strength to never commit the sin again. God is always ready to forgive those who repent.

Remember, Jesus loves, sustains, provides, comforts, and understands our pain. He desires us to come to Him. 1 – 2 – 3 … Believe, Confess, Repent. Your eternity will be secured through Jesus.

MATTHEW 11:28-29 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

ARE YOU A FOLLOWER OF JESUS?

Have you invited Jesus into your heart? Now is the perfect time. Pray this sinner’s prayer found at Gotquestions.com

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”
