God Loves YOU! It’s A Fact!

God loves you! It's a fact!

God loves you! He loves every part of you! God loves your indecisiveness, your ability to smell coffee two floors up and your quick smile. He loves you grow herbs from seed and your left eye brow is slightly higher than your right. He also loves you help your mother find her favorite lost purse without ever complaining, because you know dementia is setting in.

But do you really understand the depth of His love?

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God planned His only child to be the sacrifice for your sin. He created you so He could commune with you, yet knew you would sin. Because God’s essence is love, He can not be in the presence of sin.  So God sent His Son to show His love for you; knowing everything there is to know about you – whether you like it or not.

Through His love He desires to have an open relationship with you. Openness means there is no concealment in the relationship. Accessibility is available at all times.  Do you know God is always open and accessible?

You may not have openness in your other relationships, but God hides nothing from you. He even wrote everything in a book for you, to help make learning about who He is more convenient. So how do you get to know God in a personal way?

Here are three ways you can achieve a more personal relationship with God:

  • Learn God’s Word
  • Love like Jesus
  • Live and Give through the Holy Spirit

God wants you to understand and follow Him. His Word is freely available to you through the Bible. You can get the Bible for yourself or read from it on line at Blue Letter Bible.  God spoke the following words to the Israelites (approximately thirty four hundred years ago) yet they hold true for you today.

Deuteronomy 7:12 If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors.

As you read God’s history, His plans, promises, and blessings to His people, you will realize God’s Word is steadfast.

In the New Testament you will find recorded documentation of the life of God’s Son, Jesus. Jesus paid the price for your life. The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John describe how Jesus lived the meaning of total love. His love overflowed even more when He sacrificially laid down His own life for you on The Cross.

When you accept and acknowledge what Jesus did as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit enters you. These actions give you the blessings of eternal life.

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Having the Holy Spirit live within you is part of God’s love for you. Holy Spirit inspires believers to carry out the work Jesus began here on earth. You are to go and spread the good news of salvation.

Acts 13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Jesus’ example of living included this command:

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

With the help of planning and patience from the Holy Spirit, the process of loving others will be fulfilled.

God loves YOU! Approach Him today and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Acknowledge to Him you desire an open relationship with Him. If you do this, you will find He is accessible to you at all times through reading the Bible, loving like Jesus and living and giving through the Holy Spirit.
