Use me, LORD, to bring glory to your name. I invite the Holy Spirit to stir my heart, so that I may proclaim my devotion to you daily, as I live my life.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
We are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the family of God, 1 Corinthians 12:13. When we invite the Holy Spirit to work within us, all things are possible. This is because the Spirit produces: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Galatians 5:22-23. And by using these magnificent gifts of the Spirit, we bring glory to His name.
Teach me, LORD, to know the comfort of your Word. To know your offering of true inheritance to your children. In Your Word, we have victory over death. We should not fear our final outcome, because you have already told us you provide.
I [Paul] pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, Ephesians 1:18
The LORD is my inheritance! I have access to Him 24-7, because I am His daughter. I am so thankful for this gift. And the LORD tells me daily who He is, what He has done, and how He provides, through His Holy Word.
Allow me, LORD, to feel the power of your name. Through the ages You stay strong.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
The power of God rose His Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead. Jesus was beaten, whipped, pierced in the side and brutally crucified on the Cross. Witnesses offer testimony to His sacrificial act. However, at the time of the crucifixion, Jesus’ followers did not understand that He was our sacrifice. Matthew 16:21-22
It was not until after Jesus’ resurrection-John 20, and the disciples witnessed Him among them-John 21, that Jesus opened their minds to scripture and they understood Luke 24:45. Through faith in His name, the disciples then had power to proclaim the gospel of Jesus. And for over 2,000 years, the name Jesus has, and will continue to, hold power for those who believe.
Use me, LORD, to lift up your holy name.
