FAITHFAITHFULFAITHFULLYFAITHFULNESS-4

The stairs of FAITH bring us closer to God.

The words faith, faithful, faithfully and faithfulness occur more than four hundred times in the Bible. I believe God is sending a clear message to us that faith is very important in our Christian walk with Him.

  • Faith is – complete trust or confidence in someone or something
  • Faithful is – loyal, constant and steadfast
  • Faithfully is – in a loyal manner
  • Faithfulness is – the quality of being faithful; fidelity

With each step we take in a loyal manner of constant and complete confidence in our Maker, we offer fidelity to Him alone and advance closer to His Kingdom.

God welcomes those who have faith in Him.

Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. Isaiah 26:2

God’s true character is faithful. He can never turn His back on those who love Him and follow His way.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9

God shows abundant mercy to those who live life faithfully to Him, as Noah who was saved from the great flood lived.

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Genesis 6:9

God Himself spoke to Moses, telling Moses He is overflowing in faithfulness. We are all created in God’s image, meaning we have the character of God already within us if we choose to express it. We have the ability to be faithful, but of course, because of our gifted free will this ability is only carried out by our choice.

And he [God] passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, Exodus 34:6

The stairs of faith are people movers. They get you where you need to be. I state the words faith, faithful, faithfully and faithfulness thirty two times in this post. Please know I too, believe living a life of faith is important to all Christians. And the action of faith, Lifts Him Up! Praise God today and ask Him to lead you to His stairs of faith.
