Why does mankind suffer so needlessly? Why do we choose to carry the burden of sin? Life was not created that we might be miserable all the time. God is love not misery. Choosing to live in the despairing darkness of sin is not what God planned for us.
God’s desire is for mankind to step away from sin. To step out of the darkness we allow to envelop us and instead, enter into His presence. Ask for mercy and feel His light.
Rid ourselves of the burden of sin by repenting of that sin. Ask God for forgiveness and acknowledge your choice to change … to turn away from the sin. Then accept the freedom of forgiveness God always gives through His mercy and grace.
You can step out of the darkness. God will be with you every step of the way. Admit the sin, say you are sorry, and choose to not do it again.
ACTS 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
When we repent before the Lord, God not only forgives the sin – God forgets the sin. It’s as if that sin, which was committed and we’ve carried as a burden forever and unnecessarily, was never committed! That sin is “wiped out”.
Praise God, He wipes sin clean! Praise God for His mercy and grace! Praise God He is so, so, good!

Yes, too often we remember-l’m blessed God loves me- but, oops, I forget I have sinned, I sin every day, and need to confess that sin and ask for forgiveness. God already knows I sinned, and He loves me as His daughter, but I need to confess the sin and ask for forgiveness. This communication with God keeps my relationship with Him intimate. 🙏🏻
