“Let us occupy ourselves entirely in knowing God. The more we know Him, the more we will desire to know Him. As love increases with knowledge, the more we know God, the more we will truly love Him. We will learn to love Him equally in times of distress or in times of great joy.”
– Brother Lawrence
Man was created to glorify God. We are made in His image. We are His “handiwork,” a true masterpiece. Every cell in our body knows Jesus by name, but it’s a choice to deliberately have a relationship with Him.
No wonder it’s natural to yearn for more than what this world has to offer. Mankind understands this world has limits… deterioration, death, decay. But with Jesus, by knowing Jesus our redeemer, one receives the blessing of inheritance-we become His children. We become more intimate with Him. We know Him.
Because Jesus rose from the dead, His children also will one day rise. The Bible, God’s love letter to us, shares this message. Reading the Bible helps us know Jesus.
The Bible shares Jesus is humble, gentle, obedient, compassionate. He is also bold, determined, wise, and truthful. Jesus is all this and more. Jesus is life of all things.
Once you understand and receive the true charter of Jesus, becoming a child of God fully known and fully loved, then remain in Him. Set your mind on who He is and not toward earthly things.
Be content in the truth you will “love [Jesus] equally in times of distress or in times of great joy.”, once you choose to know Jesus. Jesus, at all times loves us and cherishes our devotion to Him. He died for all sin and deserves all reverence.
COLOSSIANS 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Choose to know Jesus. You’ll be overjoyed how He loves you each day.

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”
