You Have God Given Gifts

“God is faithful. You will never invest more in Him than He will in you. God’s word tells us to whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48), but I am also convinced that to whom much is required, much is surely given.”

– Beth Moore, Believing God (2004)

You were created especially you, by God. There is none like you. I’m not talking about just your looks. Your personality is also unique only to you–what makes you smile and what makes you frown. Your ambitions are like no other: your dreams, your sense of adventure, are specific to you.

To each of us, God gives special gifts. His creation of me and you are specific as individuals. Yet these special gifts that God bestows upon us individually are to be shared communally for the better of others.

Who God created you to be is different from who He created others to be. That difference, that make up of who you are versus who they are, includes God’s special gifts distinctive only to you and distinctive only to them.

If your gift from God is patience that shines during hectic situations, remember to use that gift for those around you who don’t possess it. Share that patience with others who don’t know patience, so that they may learn to calm themselves. Patience helps create good mental health.

God gives us special gifts.

Do you prefer being humble during recognition? Then share your beautiful gift of humility with others so that they may understand being prideful isn’t always pretty. Humility helps build relationships.

God distributes precious gifts to everyone. It’s up to the individual to discover those gifts and utilize them in service to others. We aren’t to hoard our gifts from God, we are to share them, “to whom much is given, much is required.” Someone, today, is in need of your special gift.

Perhaps God gifted you with leadership skills. Good leaders aren’t demanding and commanding. They communicate their leadership. Good leaders also listen before directing action. The world benefits from good leadership shared with others.

1 PETER 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.

God created and entrusted you with a special gift. I pray you discover that gift and use it to benefit others.

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”
