Bible teacher Bill Crowder’s words can be hard for some folks to appreciate. To unbelievers, Christmas is about receiving gifts, celebrating, taking time off from work. But those things are not what makes Christmas beautiful.

The beauty of Christmas, what it truly celebrates, is the One who is Christmas – Jesus Christ. All other concepts relative to this celebrated day fall short of the depth of Christmas. Actually, all are beyond compare.

The glitz and glam of bedazzled trees, presents, and candle lit parties pushed commercially and accepted by society, are not the essence of Christmas, as many celebrate.

Jesus is Christmas.

ISAIAH 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Jesus’ birth was His physical introduction to the world. Jesus came as Counselor, God, Father, and Prince. And by His might His kingdom will last forever. Jesus is why the world celebrates CHRISTmas.

Jesus outshines all that glitz and glam that mankind produces. Through His righteousness, Jesus is King.

This Christmas remember – Jesus is the beauty of Christmas.
