A. W. Tozer did not fumble words when he stated how one comes to God. It is not by doing good deeds. It is not by being a good child, parent, or citizen. And it is not by being what some consider a good church member – attending Sunday services and tithing.

The act of coming to God is only attained by coming to Jesus Christ first.

One must believe Jesus as:

the son of God
born of a virgin
lived a sinless life on earth
gave of himself on a cross as our savior
died, then resurrected
sits on the right of God the Father
will one day return to proclaim His kingdom

Throughout scripture, from Old Testament to New Testament, one learns the way to God –

Believe in Jesus Christ.

If you want to learn more about Jesus, read the four gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books contain accounts of Jesus’ thirty-three years of life on earth. They each tell His story of miraculously healing the lame, giving sight to the blind, and feeding 5,000 with five loaves of bread and two fishes. Jesus also brought three people back to life.

Jesus’ life on earth story is truly compelling. From the miracles He preformed to His teachings, including the Sermon On The Mount, one comes to believe He is the only way to God.

JOHN 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
