Give God Your Thanks

“God says to give thanks in everything. That doesn’t mean you need to give thanks FOR everything. You don’t need to give thanks FOR that bad day. Or FOR that bad relationship. Or being passed over at work. Financial hardship. Whatever it is – you are not to give thanks FOR the difficulties, but rather IN the difficulties. That is a very important distinction, and one I think we often miss. Giving thanks IN everything shows a heart of faith that God is bigger than the difficulties and that He can use them, if you approach Him with the right heart and spirit, for your good and His glory.”

Dr. Tony Evans

Thank you, LORD!

This morning we open our eyes to a new day. Thank you, LORD!

Yesterday is gone, no sense living in regret, another chance is given. Thank you, LORD!

Opportunity lies before us to right wrongs, to choose new paths. Thank you, LORD!

Through humble confession past sins are forgiven. Thank you, LORD!

Circumstances beyond our control – we give up to You. Thank you, LORD!

Sorrow becomes joy knowing He is in charge. Thank you, LORD!

His peace overcomes tensions from the day. Thank you, LORD!

Sleep well knowing His love endures, He is faithful and true. Thank you, LORD!

Such a short thank-you list in comparison to all God does, both seen and unseen. Jesus, His sacrifice on the cross deserves a thank-you beyond measure. He took all sin upon His shoulders – He took our death – so that we may have life.

May we, in our time on earth, thank Jesus for His sacrifice, until blessed with that special moment of hugging Him in paradise.

PSALM 100 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

ARE YOU A FOLLOWER OF JESUS?

Have you invited Jesus into your heart? Now is the perfect time. Pray this sinner’s prayer found at Gotquestions.com

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”

Blessings to you as you receive redemption through Jesus.

    • Thank you. We have so much to be thankful for, right! I will never be able to remember each blessing God gives me and my family. And think of all the wonderful unseen things He does that will eventually touch us, things we don’t even pray for. 🤗
