“Jesus is coming back – it could even be today.”
David Jeremiah , Turning Point (2022)
As you read this post, more people are coming to Christ.
Since the day Jesus bestowed His followers with Holy Spirit, those followers have been driven to share the Good News. Compelled to speak truth, disciples of Jesus are overjoyed to bring others into fellowship with the savior of the world.
Jesus Christ, indeed dead on the cross, was buried for three days. But then, oh. . . then – He rose from the dead! Sacrificially crucified for all sin, Jesus then stepped out of the grave; thus revealing His deity, thus inviting mankind to experience life after death.
Jesus remained on earth forty days before His accession to the Father.
Ten days after Jesus’ accession, Holy Spirit came upon the apostles. He came, encouraging them to live as Jesus. Encouraging neighbor to help neighbor, encouraging enemy to become friend. Holy Spirit supports fellowship, encouragement, and forgiveness to others. In Jesus’ physical absence on earth, Holy Spirit is here, cheering believers on, helping us to bring others to know Christ so that none might perish.
Jesus is not dead. Though some disagree, He will return to earth. “It could even be today,” as David Jeremiah states. And it is our job, sons and daughters of the one true God, to tell others about the love and faithfulness of Jesus. How He heals, empowers, is steadfast, and comforts. We are to bring the unbelieving to Christ, so that they too may become believers in Christ.
By not telling our neighbors about Jesus, we allow them to continue being enemies of God.
Hebrews 10:24-27 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
ARE YOU A FOLLOWER OF JESUS?
Have you invited Jesus into your heart? Now is the perfect time. Pray this sinner’s prayer found at Gotquestions.com.
“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen.”
Blessings to you as you receive redemption through Jesus.
