Nothing Is Hidden From God

Nothing is hidden from God.

Because my new book will soon be available for sale, I thought I would share some of its information. Lift Him Up don’t Pull Him Down is about misusing the name of God. How society flippantly speaks God, Jesus and Christ, in a manner that offers no glory. Each time we do this, whether alone or in a crowd,  we are actually vomiting His name, not worshipping it.

“When we sin, we do not need to be seen by someone else to recognize we are sinning. If we disregard God’s instruction and go against His perfect plan for us, we are sinning. God has an omnipresence. He is present everywhere at the same time. So thinking we are hiding any sin we commit is fruitless, just like Adam and Eve tried to hide from God in the Garden of Eden after they ate fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They could not hide from God and neither can we.”

I believe this habitual vomiting of The Name occurs because most are unaware that using Him in anger or happiness is wrong when there is no reverence in our hearts. This means we are not offering God the glory He deserves. We are being disrespectful to His name.

It does not matter if we shout His name at a referee, for what we believe to be a bad call. Or if we say it under our breath because our shopping cart wheel squeaks. Both are offensive, and God hears it all. However, it is important to communicate with God throughout the day; but the communication requires respect.

God loves when we acknowledge Him throughout our day. Proverbs 3:5-6 says:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

You can do this with a grateful thank you, a concerned question, or a desperate cry for help. Remember God is always with us, and sees everything.

“Nothing can ever be hidden from the site of God (Hebrews 4:13). In some of our questionable circumstances, this reality can terrify us. But in some terrifying circumstances, this reality can comfort us. What is important to remember is God is always with us. And just like we nurture close relationships with friends, the more we continue to commune with God the more intimate our relationship with Him will grow.”

Believers, let us remember to Lift Him Up!
