Are You Struggling With A Problem?

Are you struggling with a problem? If we are being honest here, we all know everyone has problems. Even those who choose to stage picture perfect lives on social media. Yes, even those people really do have problems. No life is perfect.

Granted, problems do come in varying degrees, but even little annoyances seem large in the moment when they unexpectedly ruin a down-to-the-minute planned day–Flat Tire!

So if you are struggling with anything, I encourage today, right now, to turn it all over to Jesus. It is Jesus, in His perfection as the Son of God, our Deliverer, the Bread of Life and Great High Priest, the One who raised the dead, Jesus is the One who can set you free.

You Need Not Walk Through Troubles Alone

Jesus Himself resurrected, and He also resurrected three others from death. Think about that fact. If Jesus restores life to a dead body, He absolutely can help with any uncertainty you may currently be struggling with.

Each circumstance of Jesus bringing a dead body back to life is different. This offers hope to us all since no problem is ever the same. Different people, different personalities, different situations, different degrees of stress. No matter the depth of your struggle–once you read these stories you will understand how Jesus is the One in control.

1. Jesus Restores A Girl To Life

Jesus restored a girl of twelve back to life soon after she had died. He took her by the hand, commanded her to get up, and she did! By His touch and by His word she was made complete.

Mark 5:38-42 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.

2.Jesus Raises A Widow’s Son From The Dead

When Jesus raised the young man from the dead, the young man was on his way to being buried. Jesus did not touch the body but instead touched the slat the body was carried on. Then He commanded the young man to get up, and he did arise.

Luke 7:11-15 Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

3.Jesus Raises Lazarus From The Dead

When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, Lazarus had been dead four days. Jesus was not near the body nor did He touch it, but stood outside of the burial tomb. Jesus touched nothing but simply called for Lazarus to “come out!” And with that, Lazarus walked out of the tomb.

John 11:39-43 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

The power of Jesus is immeasurable. No matter if your problem just developed, has festered a bit, or you feel buried by it in a tomb! Surrender to Jesus, trust in His faithfulness, believe in the Word and allow His power to resurrect you.
