Thank you, blog readers, for following me into a new year and a new decade! 2019 saw the most hits to the Lift Him Up site since its inception in 2014. I appreciate each and every one of you who choose to spend a few of your precious minutes each week to read my posts. Thank you!

From A to Z, Lift Him Up readers are scattered around the world. A sampling of our site’s daily visitors hail from: Argentina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Mauritius, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Tanzania, Uruguay and Zimbabwe, just to name a few! There are 170 counted countries that have viewed the words lovingly arranged in these posts, all written specifically to glorify and Lift Up God’s name.

Lift Him Up Readers are Around The World

As 2020 approached, God placed on my heart the idea of stretching myself to connect more with those visiting the Lift Him Up site. Thoughts of creating video presentations kept entering my mind. So, after prayer and overcoming all the negative What Ifs in my mind, I’ve decided to include video messages occasionally on the Lift Him Up site.

If you read last week’s post you’ll see I included statements regarding an old letter written to a major TV network. One of the anchors shared the jest of the letter to his viewing audience regarding people of faith actually believe in fairy tales (details @ christianheadlines.com). This first video expounds on my short reference to the anchor’s fairy tale comment in last week’s post.

Though the writer of the Christian Headlines article details Christian persecution, I want to focus on the need for believers to stand up socially for our faith. I’m surly not a professional speaker by trade, so please over look a few stammers in this, my first video post. After many starts and restarts I was finally satisfied with the final take.

Thank you for watching, and may you understand the importance of this message–standing up for your faith in your daily life routine. God told us it would not be easy living a life for Christ, but we are called to proclaim Him.

Selected 1st Reading:

1 Peter 3:15-16 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

2nd Reading:

Luke 22:54-62 Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. And when some there had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them.

A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, “This man was with him.” But he denied it. “Woman, I don’t know him,” he said. A little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” “Man, I am not!” Peter replied. About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.” Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed.

The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

3rd Reading:

John 21:15-17 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.

May you forever receive the blessings of knowing Jesus Christ and share Him with others. And, may 2020 be a turning point in your life.
