7 Bible Verses That Say—God Forgives!

Stop feeling guilty! Jesus offered himself as the true sacrifice for our sin. Stop rejecting Him! Jesus willingly died for all of mankind. Jesus knew my name as He hung on The Cross—and He knew your name too! He willfully endured punishment we deserve, in order to save us from the sufferi.n

Sin, like breaking the law, can not go unpunished. Penalties are required for transgressions. But God, in His loving nature, chose not to have mankind pay for our own sin. He mercifully planed to send His own son to pay the price for our wrongdoing.

Wow! Thank you Jesus!

Jesus came so that we may have a close and personal relationship with The Father. He had to come. His appointment on earth was God’s original plan for our salvation. God knew mankind, in our weakness and sinful nature, could not live a pure life. So that sinful issue was overcome by God’s plan to send His only Son, Jesus, as the end-all sacrifice for sin.

And the beauty is when we believe that Jesus came to offer Himself as atonement for our sin—we are forgiven of sin! Amen! So stop feeling guilty and accept God as His word:

Jesus offered Himself as the sacrifice for our sin.

Humble yourself, pray, change your evil ways—and God will forgive!

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Cry out to God—He hears you!

Psalm 34:17-20 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

God forgives all who call on Him!

Psalm 86:4-5 Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

God cleans us and forgives us!

Jeremiah 33:8 I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me.

Prophets proclaimed Jesus’ name is power!

Acts 10:43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Believers are blessed and forgiven!

Romans 4:7 “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Don’t fool yourself—everyone sins. Confess now and be forgiven!

1 John 1:8-9 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus conveyed if we don’t know Him while we are alive on earth, He won’t be able to say He knows us in death.

There is a definite urgency to confession. Why? Because you don’t know when you are going to die. And once you die, it’s too late to confess. God gives us ample time to confess while we still have breath in us. When we breathe our last breath—the confession time clock stops.

Ask God into your life right now. Pray this sinner’s prayer, found at Gotquestions.com:

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”
