It Doesn’t Matter How You Come To JESUS—Just Come!

Are you waiting to cleanse your sinful ways before coming to Jesus? Trust me—it won’t happen!

No one can become free of sin—not until we see Jesus face to face. Not until our presence in this sinful world transcends to His heavenly realm. Not until that nano-second after God calls us home.

1 John 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

You can’t free yourself from sin.

But the Good News is, God knows we are helpless and provided a solution!

God wants you to come to Him—right now— because He is the one who will change you. He loves you and will take control. Don’t be fooled into believing you can change into a “better person” on your own. Humans have sinful nature within us and don’t have the strength/power/perseverance to stand against the powers of evil.

John 12:44-46 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the One who sent me. The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. For I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.”

Place your faith to overcome any obstacle in Christ alone. It is Jesus who will light the way for you so that you are enabled to make better choices in life. Only when you come to Jesus, confess your sin, and ask forgiveness, will He cleanse you.

1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

IMPORTANT: God does not want you to believe that your sin has power to keep you from Him.

Just the opposite! God wants you to understand that your sin can be the venue to Him. Sometimes, He allows us to keep making wrong choices, digging our own holes deeper and wider; letting us sit in the darkness of our personally created mud slum until we realize—there has to be something better, but what can it be?

YOU NEED SAVED!

You need light to see, you need extracted from your disgusting location, you need cleansed from the dirt causing infections in your life. In the gospels, we read several invitations where Jesus states we should “come”.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Come to Jesus, confess your sin, ask forgiveness, and He will give you rest by carrying your burdens.

John 7:37-38 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Come to Jesus, confess your sin, ask forgiveness, and He will will give you Holy Spirit, who is God’s power in action.

Mark 10:21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Come to Jesus (this means putting Him first in your life, ahead of personal gratification and gains), confess your sin, ask forgiveness, and He will give you eternal life.

And once we come to Jesus, He will NEVER abandon us when we stumble into that dirt again. But be prepared for a new normal the next time you get dirty! Now, you have Jesus to help you.

You have Jesus to carry your burden. You have Holy Spirit to give you power to change your situation and or power to endure your situation. But the blessing now is—through Jesus you are assured eternal life.

Ask Jesus into your heart right now:

Father God, I need you. You are creator of all things, the Lord Almighty, and I am a sinner in need of your forgiveness. I confess my sinful ways and acknowledge there is no other way to atone for them but through the blood of your son Jesus. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you for loving me and being with me always. Amen
