JESUS Is Calling YOU!

Jesus is calling you

Some people erroneously believe they must clean up their lives before coming to Jesus. They are sadly ashamed of their past: the dirty baggage they carry, the scars they created or endured, the hidden hurt laying on their hearts. They allow past sin to bind them.

If you are one of those misinformed souls not familiar with the Good News, let me share with you the truth Jesus taught and lived by some 2000 years ago. I know 2000 years seems long in the human time frame, but have no worries –

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

No matter what your current position is in life, Jesus is calling you right now!

Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

When you hear the call from Jesus and realize who He is, you accept His death sets you free from shame. It’s time to loose your luggage! Your scars can fade and your heart will heal!

Jesus took the burden of all your sin to the cross so that you could be free.

Jesus is well aware of the sinful nature of mankind. We can’t help ourselves. I mean really – try and go a whole day without telling a lie. Even one of the “little white lies” we spew to spare someone’s feelings or to save ourselves from a large argument. Remember, any non-truth is still a lie.

Or try going just eight hours without being judgmental of someone. Even if I locked myself in a room for that period of time, away from people and all social media, I would still have  past scenarios racing around my brain:

  • “She had no right to say that, I help more that she does.”
  • “Why didn’t I get a thank-you card but he did?”
  • “When will they stop being such a nag over everything?”

Ecclesiastes 7:20 Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.

There is just no way around sin for anyone on earth. Not for me, not for you, and sadly commenting on the current Catholic problems, not even for the Pope.  We all sin and fall short of God’s glory, but, don’t be so ashamed that you won’t hear Jesus’ call to you.

Jesus is calling you – right where you are.

Romans 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Because of His selfless sacrifice, we are redeemed. That means only Jesus can carry your luggage load now. Give it to Him, he’s happy to be your bellboy. And  Jesus will administer to your wounds. No nurse is more perfect then He, because He knows all about pain, John 19.  As for your suffering heart,  Jesus was tempted by satan himself,  He knows how temptation works and set an example to overcome it!

Don’t allow your mind for one minute to believe you are a forever prisoner of sin, because Jesus set you free!  While we all still sin, Jesus chose to die for us.  He doesn’t require you to be “good” before you call on Him. Jesus’ death justified our sin. Just call to Him so you can feel His presence.

My pastor at Grace Life Church gives the perfect definition of how Jesus justifies us:

Just as if I had never sinned!

That means Jesus wipes away your sin. Believe in Him; confess and repent to Him.

Romans 5:1-6 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.

And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

Jesus is calling you – right where you are.

Call out to Jesus right now by praying a sinner’s prayer, copied from gotquestions.org.

Jesus will be so glad to hear from you!

“God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”

  1. God doesn’t call the qualified buy qualifies the called. (Loosely based on 1 COR 1:27-29)

So we need to be accepting of ourselves to accept our call to Christ. Then, we need to be accepting of God’s work in our life to qualify those of us who are called to Him. Christ meets us where we are and then we move with him. Thanks for the great reminder of God’s incredible, undeserved love poured forth through the grace of His Son, our Savior, Jesus!

    • Tim, you are welcome and thank you for the positive comment! Yes, we need to be accepting of God’s work in our life. I am going through a period right now, where I believe God has called me and I am following Him. I ask for your prayers that: I heard Him correctly, that I’m following Holy Spirit, that I claim His word all over the project He placed on my heart, and all glory to Him for the final outcome.

  2. Great message..
Same applies to one who was in Christ and fell in sin. He’s still calling you back. The devil inputs the ideology that when one sins, he should leave THE BODY of Christ; he inputs a sense of condemnation. But, the Bible says in 1 John 1 that if we walk in the light, fellowship with one another and His blood cleanses us from all sin. Basically, walk in the light (remain in Christ), fellowship with one another (remain a member of The Body) and His blood will continually cleanse you from sin. Leaving the body is never the solution but a lie the devil only know how to tell.

You have advocate who always prays for you.🙏
