The Holy Body Of Jesus Shed Blood For Us 7 Times.
Each of the 7 times Jesus shed His blood for mankind, a freedom was returned to us. Read how Jesus’ blood redeems you and sets you free from bondage.
Leviticus 16:19 He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times to cleanse it and to consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites.
1. JESUS’ SUPREME SWEAT TURNED TO BLOOD
Luke 22:44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.
It was in the Garden of Eden that Adam lost his authority over earth when he sinned and ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It was also in a garden, the Garden of Gethsemane, we find the first shedding of Jesus’ blood for us.
As Jesus was praying in the garden, knowing full well the agonizing horror that awaits Him at the crucifixion, His sweat turned to blood.
This first blood is the beginning of mankind’s redemption (saving) from sin.
2. JESUS’ FAULTLESS BACK DRAINED BLOOD AS HE WAS FLOGGED
Matthew 27:26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
The Roman Governor, Pilate, ordered Jesus flogged, with thirty-nine lashes, just one under their legal limit of forty.
Jesus paid for our healing from all disease.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. (NTL)
3. JESUS’ HOLY BODY BLED INSIDE WHILE BEING BEATEN AND BRUISED OUTSIDE
Jesus bled under His skin for our iniquity (inherited weakness) when He was crushed. His horrendous wounds caused bleeding on the inside.
Because of Jesus’ inside bleeding we can plead for internal healing, for things unseen inside of us.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
4. JESUS ENDURED A BARBED CROWN OF THORNS THAT PIERCED AND BLOODIED HIS PRECIOUS HEAD
Matthew 27:29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.
Jesus’ bloodied head, upon which an exceedingly painful crown of thorns was placed, frees our minds so the enemy has no control over our thoughts.
Jesus’ precious blood gives us the pathway to proper decision making.
5. SPIKES DRIVEN INTO JESUS’ TENDER HANDS DRIPPED HIS BLOOD
Jesus shed blood from his hands when he was nailed to the cross.
This blood cleansed our hands that our work may be purified in His name. This blood also freed our hands to open and receive our inheritance.
Matthew 27:35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
The Roman’s took what little Jesus had at the very same time Jesus’ dripping blood was freeing us to receive all that God promises us.
6. SPIKES DRIVEN INTO JESUS’ FLAWLESS FEET SHED MORE BLOOD
Jesus shed blood from His feet when nailed to the cross. Because Jesus stands above mankind not below, his blood gives us power to claim righteousness over satan at every spot our feet touch the ground.
Jesus’ flawless blood gives us back dominion on earth which we lost with Adam.
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
7. JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, WAS SPEARED IN THE SIDE
Jesus shed blood from His side. When it was pierced, both blood and water flowed from Him. This is a physical symbol that the heart burst.
Jesus paid the price to heal the broken hearted.
John 19:33-35 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.
